What is VCI?

VCI is a corrosion prevention method defined with the acronym name of “Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors”. VCI packaging products contain chemical formulas that release some kind of vapor into the air which is invisible and prevents corrosion. In the closed packaging environment, vapor molecules stick to metal surfaces and prevents the electrochemical corrosion process. When the package is opened, the inhibitory molecular layer immediately continues to evaporate into the atmosphere. In this way, The storage and logistics of the corrosion-free, clean and dry parts are ensured easily and economically.
